Carol Dark has come up with another fun, educational and unique day out for us on a Saturday in October. You will enjoy the fall colors as you drive to Josephine's for a shopping experience you won't soon forget. Three shops on the property feature unique clothes, gifts, home decor, holiday items and much more. The shops open at 10:00am and we have reservations for 12:30 lunch in the Tea Room. Count on delicious food in a charming atmosphere.
Another short drive along the river will take us to the new Lewis & Clark Historic Site. We will see a movie and have a guided tour of the museum and site. This was the point of departure for the expedition. If you have not seen it yet, you have missed one of our great local historic gems.

Directions:
To Josephine's--From I-270, take Highway 367 across the Missouri River into Alton. Take 67 North to Godfrey. Pass Lewis and Clark College and look for Josephine's immediately on your right.
To the Lewis & Clark Historic Site--Take Highway 67 South to Alton. Just before the bridge take Highway 143 South (Landmark's Blvd.) along the river to IL Highway 3. Turn right (south) on 3. You will see the Confluence Tower on your right. The next turn is the Lewis & Clark Historic Site.
